Description

The Benkovac winery was built in 1956-1957, following the models of existing wineries in the south of France.
Vinarija Benkovac became really famous only in 2005, when new vineyards in Korlat near Benkovac were planted on an area of 103 hectares with 530,000 vines.
The vineyard includes a range of Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc i Mourvèdre.

Tasting notes:

Dark red with violet reflections in the glass. On the nose harmonious, rich, red fruits. The palate is rich, pleasant, fruity red berries, raisins. Long lasting on the finish.

Grape variety: merlot.
Closure: Natural cork.
Drinking temperature: 18 °C.

A perfect companion to chocolate cake, caramelized almonds as well as Dalmatian braised beef.
