Description

Big Peat is a compilation of single malt Scotch whiskies that come exclusively from the island of Islay. Caol Ila brings sweetness, Bowmore perfect balance, Ardbeg a medicinal, earthy quality, and Port Ellen a measure of elegance – Big Peat represents all that is Islay in a bottle.
As part of Douglas Laing’s Remarkable Regional Malts range, it represents the ultimate distillation of the Islay malt whisky region of Scotland.

The Big Peat 12 Years Old is a Small Batch bottling, which is typical of Islay and offers aromas of charred oak, chimney smoke and summer tar, leading to a lingering finish of brown sugar, campfire ash and a real phenolic quality.

No added colorants as well as cold filtration.
As natural as it gets. – Douglas Laing
