Description

Domenico Dal Cero founded the winery Cà dei Frati in 1939, which is still a pure family business. The total annual production is about 400,000 bottles. Only 30% of the production is exported abroad.

Tasting notes:

Deep dark black red in the glass. Intense nose of red fruits, macerated blueberries, sour cherries, balsamic and jam. Powerful and spicy on the palate with a pleasant acidity. Long lasting and clean finish.

Grape varieties: 50% Marzemino, 40% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet.
Aging: 14 months in barrique, 10 months in bottle.
Acidity: 6.0 g/l.
Soil: Calcareous, clayey, sandy and muddy.
Drinking temperature: 16°C.
Closure: Natural cork.
Storage potential: Until 2026.

This wine harmonizes very well with red meat.
