Description

Domenico Dal Cero founded the winery Cà dei Frati in 1939, which is still a pure family business. The total annual production is about 400,000 bottles. Only 30% of the production is exported abroad.

The Cà dei Frati Pietro Dal Cero Amarone Della Valpolicella DOC was created by the siblings Igino, Gian Franco and Anna Maria Dal Cero.

Tasting notes:

Ruby red in the glass. On the nose, intense and complex aromas. The palate is elegant with fruity notes of sour cherries, chocolate and mint, as well as tobacco and coffee. Long lasting on the finish.

Grape varieties: Corvina, Rondinella, Corvinone, Croatina.

Aging: 24 months in wooden barrels, 12 months in stainless steel tanks, 24 months in bottle.

Closure: Natural cork.
Drinking temperature: 15-18 °C.
Storage potential:10-15 years.

The red wine goes very well with game, roasts and mature cheeses.
