Description

The Bacoo Rum is produced in the Dominican Republic.
The rum distilled from molasses bears the name of the Caribbean legend of the Bacoo.
A Bacoo is said to be a spirit that feels at home mainly in rum bottles and is therefore often called genie.
If you keep the little imp happy and feed him with milk and bananas, he also fulfills his “owner” one or the other wish.
Legend has it that if a bacoo is locked in a rum bottle, the bottle should be thrown into the ocean.
This is the only way to keep him at bay. Whoever finds the locked bottle with genie and frees him gets a wish fulfilled by the defiant goblin.
