Description

The original recipe was invented in 1880 by the Frenchman Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle and is still used today.

To create this extraordinary liqueur, he experimented with cognac and extracts of Caribbean bitter oranges. The result was the Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge.
The Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge owes its full aroma not least to the balanced recipe, according to which skins of Caribbean bitter oranges are used to refine the liqueur considerably.

The characteristic bulbous bottle with the engraved seal and red ribbon underlines the high quality and long tradition that is cultivated at Lapostolle.

Tasting notes:

Colour: Amber.
Taste: Aromatic, floral, notes of orange and fruit.
Finish: Long lasting.

The Grand Marnier is best enjoyed pure or on ice. It is also suitable as an ingredient for fine desserts and high-quality cocktails.
