Description

In 1973 the Nonino family produced the first Grappa Monovitigno from marc of Picolit grapes. Marc is obtained by distilling the solid components of a grape. The family celebrated great success with the brandy and soon other distillers worldwide became aware of the new product.
Grappa is not only the oldest eau-de-vie in Northern Italy but also the most traditional. The grappas of the Nonino family reflect the history and long tradition of the company.

Carefully selected Chardonnay grapes and a 12 month maturing period in small oak barrels give the Nonino Grappa Chardonnay Barrique its special colour and taste.
It is distilled in copper stills.

Since only the best vintages are used for the harvest, this grappa is very limited!

Tasting notes:

Colour: Light amber.
Nose. Nuts, vanilla, fresh bread.
Taste: Full-bodied, elegant, soft, fruity, notes of chocolate, almonds.
Finish: Long lasting, hints of spice.

The Nonino Grappa Chardonnay Barrique is excellent as a digestive after a meal, but also for refining during cooking and baking.
Serve at around 12°C in a tulip-shaped glass.
